{Farm} Letters From the Garden V1, #4

Good morning dear friends.

Sometimes I feel like I should bite my tongue when it comes to the weather. I complain when it is cold that I want it to be warmer, and vice versa when its too hot. We are now pushing into the 90's and are supposed to reach 100 over the weekend... Not fun. The watering situation is not a big deal though, since we don't have a large quantity of plants. its still tough though. The biggest fear with this time of year and the weather is the Wildfire threat. It seems like if it isn't one thing, its another. Warmer weather means more thunderstorms and around here, dry conditions and lightning are not always a good combination because all to often, the storms come with no rain to accompany them. This means low humidity and dry brush, which can light up in an instant. Not to mention, that with warmer weather comes more wind... lots and lots of wind. And when a wildfire is going, the wind can take off with one little ember and all hell breaks loose... It just isn't pretty.

Well, as promised I have some updated pictures of the garden.

Yes.... they are bathtubs...
My lone strawberry box
Experiment- can corn grow in containers?
Put most of my herbs in this wheelbarrow so it can be moved...
Side view of the barn. Its getting some TLC this summer.
Bathtub of beans and peppers...
I don't know why I crammed everything on that side...
Large trough with my melons and now has carrots and beets...
outside view- with our new trailer included...
squash and thyme... and marjoram

I have been using a lot of random containers to plant my veggies
